Car history: |
2) Up for auction is my beautiful 1969 Corvette Stingray Convertible. 1969 and 1970 were the best years of the Corvette. They worked out all the bugs of 1968 and the horsepower was still high before being choked to death by emissions standards. This '69 Vette is a nice driving, great running example of an unmolested California vehicle. Has a solid, rust-free frame and birdcage with all original body panels. Factory 350/300hp with Auto trans, both rebuilt and have less than 10k miles since rebuild. It has a tilt and telescoping steering wheel, factory A/C, power steering and 4 wheel power disc brakes. This is a factory saddle interior & tuxedo black car. Electrical is in great shape, the vacuum operated headlights go up and down well and dim/bright works fine as well as tail lights, backup lights, turn signals, interior lights, wipers including vacuum wiper door, even the fiber optics still work. Car has rally wheels with good tires and solid tread. This Vette is very reliable, runs great, and shifts smoothly. Has a new aluminum radiator, hoses, starter, exhaust system, etc.. Over $1,000 in suspension work recently completed with receipts. New shocks, bearings, bushings, pads, etc. Some of the work thats also been completed in the past 6 months; new black paint, all original chrome and trim triple-plated and polished, new seat upholstery, and new top. Car has all original glass in great shape as well.. The only things I would say it still needs is a factory radio or an aftermarket factory style radio because the one it has right now is from the 80s I think and doesnt work anymore and the A/C system needs a recharge as well because the air doesnt come out as cold as it did a few months back. Ive got a current and clear CA title in hand and tags have been paid through November 2012. This American classic is very fun to drive and turn heads wherever I drive it. Id hate to see it go but its time for a new project car in my driveway. Color codes from the trim plate. $21,200 and running. March 14, 2012. 1) Built date is K30. $16,900. Seen at "Corvettes at Carlisle" Carlisle, PA, USA on 08/30/2011. |
